About Damy

Hi, I’m Damy, a Brazilian digital nomad, slow traveller and the person behind From Brazil to Everywhere.

My journey began in 2018, when I left Brazil for the first time to study in Ireland. I lived there for three incredible months, and that experience completely changed the way I saw my life.

From then on, I became obsessed with discovering new places and finding a way to make travel part of my everyday life, not just something I could do during holidays.

I am not interested in rushing from one destination to another. I practice slow travel, which means staying longer in each place and creating a temporary routine.

I am not in a hurry to visit every country in the world, but I also cannot imagine spending my whole life in only one place.

I enjoy famous landmarks, but they are not always my priority. I am usually more interested in places with history, quiet neighbourhoods, local recommendations and hidden corners that only someone who lives there would know.

From solo travel to travelling as a couple

I started travelling alone.

Solo travel taught me how to trust myself, solve problems and adapt to unfamiliar situations.

During one of those trips, I met my boyfriend. He was just as passionate about exploring the world as I was, so we joined our dreams and decided to build this lifestyle together.

Since then, we have travelled and lived in different parts of Europe, Southeast Asia and Latin America.

Our home is not necessarily one address. It is the life we create wherever we are.

How do I travel?

My travel style is a mix of digital nomadism and slow travel.

I usually stay in each destination long enough to create a routine and experience more than the tourist side of the place.

Some days are spent exploring somewhere new. Other days are normal working days followed by a walk around the neighbourhood.

That is exactly what I love about this lifestyle.

I am not constantly escaping real life.

This is my real life.

Where have I travelled?

My first international experience was in Ireland, but it was only the beginning.

Since then, I have travelled through different parts of Europe, Southeast Asia and Latin America, including Ireland, England, Sweden, Malta, Portugal, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Vietnam, Singapore, Peru and Colombia.

Brazil will always be my starting point, but the world has gradually become my home.

Why did I create From Brazil to Everywhere?

From Brazil to Everywhere was born from one of my biggest frustrations as a traveller.

It can be surprisingly difficult to find specific, honest and practical information written by someone who has actually lived the experience.

There are countless travel blogs sharing the same itineraries, the same attractions and the same generic advice. But when you need to know what it is really like to stay in a remote place, work from a destination, use a particular platform or plan a longer stay, good information becomes much harder to find.

This blog is for travellers who are tired of predictable itineraries and repeated recommendations.

Here, I share real experiences from places I have visited, platforms I have used and situations I have personally faced.

You will find practical guides, slow travel experiences, digital nomad advice, house sitting, accommodation options, travel tools and honest opinions.

My goal is not to tell you the perfect way to travel. It is to give you enough real information to make your own decisions.
